Singapore Visa for Pakistan

Yes. ICA's country page for Pakistan says: "You will need a visa to enter Singapore if you are holding a travel document issued by this country." This applies to tourism, visiting family and business visits. Getting the visa is only one step. The ICA officer at the checkpoint decides whether to let you in and how long you may stay.

A local contact is a Singapore citizen or permanent resident, aged at least 21, with a Singpass account. They submit your application online through ICA's e-Service and issue your Form V39A, the Letter of Introduction. For business visits, the local contact must act for a Singapore-registered business. This is usually the smoothest route if you have relatives or a company inviting you.

If you have no local contact, ICA lets strategic partners submit applications through the same e-Service. These are organisations that ICA allows to file visa applications on its e-Service. Before you hand over your passport details, confirm that any company claiming this status really is recognised by ICA.

ICA says you may also apply at the nearest Singapore Overseas Mission or through its authorised visa agent, and that the mission's own website explains its procedure. Find the mission responsible for Pakistan in Singapore's official overseas mission directory. Confirm with that mission whether an agent is authorised before paying anyone. Many travel shops advertise "Singapore e-visa" services. Only authorised agents can submit through ICA's system.

According to ICA, a business or social visit application needs:

1. Form 14A, completed and signed by you. ICA bases its decision on what you declare here, and may ask for the signed form.
2. A recent colour passport-size photo taken within the last three months, following ICA's photo guidelines.
3. A copy of your passport biodata page. The passport must be valid for at least six months from the date you enter Singapore.
4. Form V39A (Letter of Introduction), which may be issued by your local contact. If you cannot get an LOI from a local contact, ICA says it can accept an LOI issued by your embassy.
5. Other supporting documents where ICA asks for them, case by case.

Translations: for anything not in English, ICA accepts translations from the issuing country's embassy, translations by a notary public, or private translations that have been attested by that embassy or notarised. ICA does not endorse private translation companies.

• Fee: a S$30 non-refundable processing fee, paid online by Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card. Agents and partners may charge their own service fees on top. Those are not ICA fees.
• Processing: ICA says an application is processed within three working days, not counting the day of submission, and some may take longer. Each case is decided on its own merits.
• When to apply: ICA advises applying within 30 days before you arrive.

If approved, your local contact, strategic partner or authorised agent prints your e-Visa from the e-Service. Keep a printed copy with your passport.

Every foreign visitor must submit the SG Arrival Card (SGAC) with electronic health declaration before arrival. It is not a visa, and it does not replace one. ICA's rules:

• Submit within three days before arrival, including the day you arrive. For example, if you arrive on the 30th, you can submit from the 28th.
• Use ICA's SGAC e-Service or the official MyICA Mobile app.
• It is free. ICA says it does not endorse commercial websites that charge to submit the SGAC.
• You will get an acknowledgement email once it is accepted.

Travellers who only transit without clearing immigration do not submit the SGAC.

ICA's guidance for short-term visitors says you should hold a passport with enough validity, your visa, and your SG Arrival Card. You should also be ready to show you have enough money for your stay and onward or return travel. ICA also requires travellers to give biometrics (such as fingerprints, face and iris) during clearance, and says those who refuse may be denied entry. Carry your hotel booking, return ticket and a copy of the e-Visa. The Visit Pass granted on arrival sets how long you may stay. That can differ from your visa's validity, so check the pass. Visitors may not work.

A popular route is Kuala Lumpur, then Singapore, then back to Kuala Lumpur for the flight home. For a Pakistani passport, that means separate visas for each country. You need a Singapore visa through one of ICA's routes, and a Malaysian eVISA through MyVISA. If you re-enter Malaysia, a single-entry Malaysian eVISA will not be enough, because it allows only one journey. Because ICA advises applying within 30 days of arrival in Singapore, apply for the Malaysian eVISA first, then time the Singapore application to fit that 30-day window. • Using a local contact who is under 21 or does not have Singpass
• A passport that will have less than six months left on your arrival date
• Applying more than 30 days ahead of travel
• Paying an unauthorised "agent" who cannot actually submit to ICA
• Documents in Urdu with no translation of the kind ICA accepts
• Forgetting the SG Arrival Card, or paying a lookalike website for it
