Singapore Visa Guides

Singapore is a short, popular trip for Pakistani families, often paired with Malaysia, and also a regular business destination. Singapore's Immigration & Checkpoints Authority, ICA, states that holders of Pakistani travel documents need a visa to enter, whether for tourism, family or business. The process differs from most countries, because you usually cannot apply alone on a public website.

ICA accepts applications through set routes. The first is a local contact: a Singapore citizen or permanent resident who meets ICA's age rule and has a Singpass account, who submits your application through ICA's e-Service and issues Form V39A, the Letter of Introduction. For business trips the contact must act for a Singapore-registered business. If you have no local contact, an ICA strategic partner can file for you; confirm that any company claiming this status really is recognised. You can also apply through the Singapore Overseas Mission responsible for Pakistan or its authorised visa agent. Many shops advertise Singapore e-visa services, but only authorised agents can submit through ICA's system.

ICA's document list is short. You complete and sign Form 14A, and ICA bases its decision on what you declare there. Add a recent colour passport-size photo that follows ICA's photo guidelines, a copy of your passport biodata page with enough validity from your entry date, the Letter of Introduction and any other papers ICA asks for case by case. If you cannot get a letter from a local contact, ICA can accept one issued by your embassy. Documents not in English need a translation from the issuing country's embassy, a notary public, or a private translation attested by the embassy or notarised; ICA does not endorse private translation companies.

ICA publishes a fixed processing fee, non-refundable and paid online by card, and agents may charge their own fees on top. It also advises applying only within a set window before you arrive, so very early applications are a common mistake. Others include using a local contact who does not meet the age or Singpass rule, a passport close to expiry, untranslated Urdu documents, and paying an unauthorised agent.

Before you fly, every foreign visitor also submits the SG Arrival Card with its electronic health declaration through ICA's e-Service or the MyICA Mobile app in the days just before arrival. It is free and is not a visa. At the checkpoint, be ready to show enough money for your stay and an onward or return ticket, and expect biometric checks. Is the SG Arrival Card the same as a visa? No. It is a free online declaration every visitor submits shortly before arrival. Pakistani visitors need both the visa and the card.
