Privacy Policy

Effective date: 28 September 2026. This Privacy Policy explains what information VisitVisaInfo.com ("VisitVisaInfo", "we", "us") collects when you use this website, how cookies are used, and the choices you have. It applies to every page on visitvisainfo.com.

Information we collect

Information you send us. If you email us, or use the contact form (which opens your own email app), we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of your message.

Information collected automatically. When you visit a page, Google Analytics 4 collects usage information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the website that referred you, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (country or city), which is derived from your IP address. Our hosting provider also processes technical request data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse.

What we do not collect. You do not need an account to use the site. The country selectors run in your browser. We never ask for your passport number, and we do not collect or store visa applications or payment details. Please do not send passport numbers, copies of identity documents or payment details by email.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and, once advertising is enabled, for ads.

Analytics cookies. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (for example, _ga and _ga_<container-id>) to tell visits apart and measure how pages are used.

Advertising cookies. When ads run on this site, Google and other third-party vendors may set cookies to serve and measure ads, as described in the Advertising section below.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block cookies, the site still works, but analytics and ad personalisation will be limited.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google, on every page of this site. It helps us understand which guides are read and where pages need improving. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

Google processes this information under its own policies. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

We plan to show ads served by Google AdSense to support the site.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info or, in Europe, at www.youronlinechoices.eu.

See how Google uses cookies in advertising for more detail.

How we use information

We use the information above to run and secure the site, understand which pages are useful, fix errors, reply to your messages and, once enabled, show ads. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for analytics and advertising cookies where consent is required, and on our legitimate interests to keep the site secure and to answer your emails.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers described here (Google and our hosting provider), or where the law requires it.

How long we keep information

We keep emails only as long as we need them to reply and to keep a record of corrections. Analytics data is kept for the retention period configured in our Google Analytics account, after which Google deletes it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict how it is used, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, email us at the address below.

Children

This site is meant for adults planning travel. It is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Links to official sites

Our guides link to official government, embassy and visa-centre websites. Those sites have their own privacy notices. Read them before you submit personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when advertising is switched on or when a service changes. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
