Stay limit
Up to 90 days in any 180-day period

Pakistani citizens need a short-stay Schengen visa (type C) for Estonia. Estonia has no visa-issuing mission in Pakistan: its Ministry of Foreign Affairs lists Hungary as the country that issues visas for Estonia in Islamabad, and the Embassy of Hungary confirms that it accepts C-type applications for Estonia from residents of Pakistan. Apply there only if Estonia is your sole or main destination, or your first point of entry when stays are equal. Pakistan is also on the Schengen-wide airport transit visa list, unless an exemption such as a valid Schengen, EU, US, Canadian or Japanese visa applies. Long-stay (D) visas must still go to an Estonian mission.

Estonia, with medieval Tallinn and its long Baltic coastline, is part of the Schengen area, so a Pakistani visitor needs the same short-stay type C visa used across the bloc. What surprises many applicants is where to apply. Estonia has no visa section in Pakistan, and its Ministry of Foreign Affairs lists Hungary as the state that issues visas for Estonia in Islamabad.

In practice the Embassy of Hungary in Islamabad accepts C-type applications for Estonia, as well as for Lithuania, from residents of Pakistan. Appointments go through Gerry’s Visa, the VFS Global partner named by the Embassy. Use this route only when Estonia is your sole or main destination, or your first entry point if the stays are equal; long-stay D visas still go to an Estonian mission.

Fees are set by Estonia at 90 euros for an adult and 45 euros for children aged 6 to 11, with under-sixes exempt. In Islamabad the money is taken in rupees: the Hungarian fee table from 1 August 2026 lists PKR 27,982 for an adult, paid in cash when you submit. The fee is not returned after a refusal.

Prepare a signed application form, a passport issued within ten years with two blank pages and three months’ validity after you leave, a recent photo and medical insurance of at least 30,000 euros. Estonia also expects proof of funds of 70 euros a day, a booking or invitation, and a return ticket. Fingerprints are taken unless you gave them in the past 59 months.

Lodge the application at least 15 days, and no more than six months, before travel. A decision normally comes within 15 days but can stretch to 45. Pakistanis also need an airport transit visa to change planes in Schengen unless they hold a qualifying visa or permit. If refused, you have eight calendar days to appeal in person at the Hungarian Embassy.

Estonia is represented by Hungary for Schengen visas in Islamabad. The Embassy of Hungary accepts C-type applications for Estonia from residents of Pakistan, and its document list by purpose follows the EU list of supporting documents for applicants in Pakistan. Pakistani nationals also need an airport transit visa to change planes at a Schengen airport unless an exemption applies.
