Pakistan is not on Fiji's visa-exempt list, so Pakistani passport holders must have a visa approved before they fly. The whole process runs online: you lodge the application and upload documents on the Ministry of Immigration's ImmiHub portal, pay online, and receive the decision by email. The approval letter is then shown at the border, where a visitor permit of up to four months is issued. A Single Entry Visa costs FJ$93 and a Multiple Entry Visa FJ$185, and the Ministry quotes 14 working days for processing.

Coral reefs, the islands of the Mamanuca and Yasawa groups, Suva's harbour and the villages of Viti Levu's highlands sit at the heart of a Fiji holiday. Pakistani passport holders cannot simply turn up there, though. Pakistan is not on Fiji's list of visa-exempted countries, which means a visa has to be approved before you board any flight bound for Nadi or Suva.

The good news is that the process is fully digital. Fiji's Ministry of Immigration takes visa applications through ImmiHub, its online portal, where you fill in the form, upload scanned papers and pay by M-PAiSA, Visa card or Mastercard. The decision is emailed to the address on your account, and the Visa Approval Letter is what you show on arrival. There is no embassy appointment or passport drop-off in this route.

Two visa types are available. A Single Entry Visa costs FJ$93 and is valid for three months for one trip. A Multiple Entry Visa costs FJ$185 and stays valid for 12 months, with each stay capped at four months. Fiji grants visas for holidays, visits to friends and family, business, transit of more than three hours and joining a vessel as crew or passenger. The Ministry quotes 14 working days to process an application, and advises lodging it before buying your ticket.

For a holiday, the checklist asks for a certified copy of your passport biodata page, two recent photos, a hotel booking or a local sponsor's letter with their ID, your itinerary or ticket and a recent bank statement or card as proof of funds. It also lists an approved leave letter, plus consent letters for a spouse travelling alone or for minors. Your passport should be valid for more than six months from the date of travel.

On landing, immigration officers check your passport, approval letter, return ticket and accommodation before issuing a visitor permit of up to four months, which can be extended in Fiji for FJ$93. A visa does not guarantee entry, and visitor status does not allow paid work. The Ministry reviews each case on its merits and does not publish approval or refusal figures for Pakistani applicants.

Quick answers

FAQ

Do Pakistanis need a visa for Fiji?

Yes. Pakistan does not appear on the Fiji Ministry of Immigration’s list of visa-exempted countries, so Pakistani passport holders need a visa approved before travel. Visitors without an approved visa are not covered by the permit-on-arrival arrangement.

Can I apply for a Fiji visa online from Pakistan?

Yes. Applications are lodged on ImmiHub, the Ministry of Immigration’s online portal, where you complete the form, upload supporting documents and pay. No embassy appointment is part of the process.

How much is a Fiji visa for Pakistani citizens?

FJ$93.00 for a Single Entry Visa and FJ$185.00 for a Multiple Entry Visa. Fees are paid online by M-PAiSA, Visa card or Mastercard, and cash is not accepted.

How long does processing take?

About 14 working days, according to the Ministry. Missing documents, requests for clarification or verification checks can slow a case down.

How will I get my visa?

The outcome is sent by email to the address you registered on ImmiHub. Carry the Visa Approval Letter with you, because immigration officers ask for it on arrival together with your passport.

What is the difference between the single and multiple entry visas?

A Single Entry Visa is valid for three months and covers one journey to Fiji. A Multiple Entry Visa lets you enter as often as you like for 12 months from the date of issue, with each stay limited to four months.

How long can I stay in Fiji?

Your stay is set by the visitor permit stamped on arrival, which ranges from several days up to four months depending on your purpose. It can be extended in Fiji for FJ$93 if you apply before it runs out.

What do I need for a holiday visa?

A certified copy of your passport biodata page, two photos, a hotel booking or a sponsor letter, your itinerary or ticket, a recent bank statement, an approved leave letter and, where relevant, consent letters for a spouse or minor travelling alone.

Does an approved visa guarantee entry?

No. A Fiji visa is a pre-entry authority. Officers at the border still check your passport, return ticket, accommodation and funds, and can refuse entry if requirements are not met.

Can I work on a Fiji visitor visa?

No. A normal visitor permit does not allow employment. Paid work needs a separate work permit, applied for through the Ministry of Immigration.
