Pakistan appears on Armenia’s list of countries whose citizens can apply for a visitor visa only at the diplomatic representations or consular posts of the Republic of Armenia abroad, and with invitation only. That means the application is made through an Armenian embassy or consulate, backed by an invitation issued on signed and sealed letterhead. The invitation is processed through e-request.am, and individuals inviting a guest submit it to the Migration and Citizenship Service. Armenian visas are issued for a maximum of 120 days, with the possibility to extend for another 60 days. The consular fee is AMD 5,000. The invitation-only list is the rule that applies to Pakistanis, so do not rely on the e-visa route.
Armenia keeps a firm visa process for Pakistani passport holders. The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that holders of national passports outside its exemption lists are required to obtain an entry visa. Pakistan sits on a stricter list still: countries whose citizens can apply for a visitor visa only at an Armenian embassy or consulate abroad, and only with an invitation.
The invitation is the starting point. It must be written on letterhead, signed and sealed, and it is processed through the e-request.am system. When the person inviting you is an individual, they submit the invitation to the Migration and Citizenship Service. Without an accepted invitation there is no visitor visa application to make, so line up a host in Armenia before anything else.
With the invitation in hand, you apply at a diplomatic representation or consular post of the Republic of Armenia abroad. The file includes a copy of your passport, the completed visa application form and the receipt for the consular fee. The Ministry gives that fee as AMD 5,000, payable at a bank or through e-payments.am, but confirm the amount with the embassy first.
Armenian visas are issued for a maximum of 120 days, with the possibility to extend for another 60 days. Because Pakistan is on the invitation-only list, the e-visa route is not one to count on, and it is not confirmed as available to Pakistani citizens. The Ministry does not publish a processing time, so ask the mission how long to allow.
There is one exemption worth checking. From 1 July 2026 to 1 July 2027, nationals of 111 countries holding a US, EU/Schengen or GCC residence permit valid for 6 months or more may enter without a visa. Pakistan is not confirmed as one of those countries, so permit holders should check the list on the Ministry site. Armenia publishes no approval or refusal rate.

Quick answers
FAQ
Do Pakistanis need a visa for Armenia?
Yes. The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that holders of national passports outside its exemption lists are required to obtain an entry visa, and Pakistan is on its invitation-only list for visitor visas.
Where do Pakistanis apply for an Armenian visa?
Only at a diplomatic representation or consular post of the Republic of Armenia abroad. Pakistan is listed among the countries whose citizens can apply for a visitor visa there and with invitation only.
Can Pakistanis use the Armenian e-visa?
Do not plan on it. The invitation-only list governs applications from Pakistani citizens, and the e-visa portal is not confirmed as open to them, so the embassy or consulate route with an invitation is the one to follow.
What does the invitation need to include?
The invitation must be on letterhead, signed and sealed. It is handled through e-request.am, and an individual who invites a guest submits it to the Migration and Citizenship Service.
Who submits the invitation for a Pakistani visitor?
The person or organisation inviting you in Armenia. When the host is an individual, the invitation goes to the Migration and Citizenship Service through e-request.am.
What documents are needed for an Armenian visa?
The signed and sealed invitation, a copy of the invited person’s passport, the completed visa application form and the receipt for the consular fee.
How much does an Armenian visa cost for Pakistanis?
The Ministry states a consular fee of AMD 5,000, paid at a bank or via e-payments.am. Check the current fee with the Armenian embassy before you pay.
How long can I stay in Armenia on a visa?
Armenian visas are issued for a maximum of 120 days, with the possibility to extend for another 60 days.
I hold a US, EU or GCC residence permit. Do I still need a visa?
A temporary exemption runs from 1 July 2026 to 1 July 2027 for nationals of 111 countries who hold a US, EU/Schengen or GCC residence permit valid for 6 months or more. It is not confirmed that Pakistan is one of them, so check the list on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs site before travelling without a visa.
Is there an official visa approval rate for Pakistanis?
No. Armenia does not publish an approval or refusal rate for Pakistani applicants, so it is not officially published.
