- Up to 90 days in any 180-day period (Schengen rules)

Andorra is not in the Schengen area and can only be reached through France or Spain. The Government of Andorra says third-country travellers must check with the French or Spanish embassy whether they need a Schengen visa and, if they do, must apply for a double-entry or multiple-entry Schengen visa, because leaving Andorra means entering the Schengen area again. Pakistani citizens need a Schengen visa (the Spanish Embassy in Islamabad issues it to nationals on the EU visa list, and Pakistan is also on the Schengen-wide airport transit visa list). Ask for at least two entries.
Andorra is a small principality high in the Pyrenees between France and Spain, known for ski resorts such as Grandvalira, hiking valleys, Romanesque churches and duty-free shopping in Andorra la Vella. It is not a Schengen member, but the Schengen rules still decide how Pakistanis get there.
Access to Andorra is only through France or Spain. Its Ministry of Foreign Affairs tells third-country travellers to check with the French or Spanish embassy whether they need a Schengen visa. Pakistani citizens do.
The key detail is the number of entries. Crossing into Andorra means leaving the Schengen area, and coming back is a fresh entry, so the Andorran government says to request a double-entry or multiple-entry Schengen visa.
At the Spanish Embassy in Islamabad you apply in person by appointment, between six months and 15 days before travel. Bring the form, a photo, a passport under ten years old, 30,000-euro insurance, the fee and evidence of your trip, funds and residence.
The Schengen fee is 90 euros for adults. Decisions usually take 15 days. Children need a passport or ID card and their own Schengen visa, and if they travel without their parents, a written authorisation as well.

Quick answers
FAQ
Do Pakistanis need a visa for Andorra?
Yes, in practice. Andorra has no visa of its own, but it can only be reached through France or Spain, so Pakistani citizens need a Schengen visa.
Why do I need two entries?
When you drive from France or Spain into Andorra you leave the Schengen area, and coming back counts as a new entry. Andorra’s government asks for a double-entry or multiple-entry visa.
Should I apply to Spain or France?
To the country you enter through, or that is your main destination. The Andorran government points travellers to the French or Spanish embassy.
How do I apply at the Spanish Embassy in Islamabad?
In person, with an appointment, at the consular office or its visa application centre if available.
How do I apply for France?
Fill in the form on France-Visas and lodge your file at the visa centre that serves you, as the Embassy of France in Pakistan explains.
How much is the visa?
90 euros for adults and 45 euros for children aged 6 to 12, plus any visa centre service charge.
When should I apply?
Between six months and 15 days before travel.
What documents does Spain ask for?
The signed form, a photo, your passport and a copy of its biometric pages, insurance, the fee, evidence of purpose and funds, and proof that you live in the consular district.
Which passports does Spain refuse?
Passports issued more than ten years ago. Yours must also stay valid three months beyond your departure from Schengen and have two blank pages.
What insurance is required?
Cover of at least 30,000 euros for medical repatriation, urgent care and hospital treatment throughout the Schengen area.
Which parts of the application are essential?
Spain only accepts applications with the form, photo, valid passport and fee.
Can the consulate ask for more?
Yes. It may request extra documents or call you for an interview.
How long does a decision take?
Usually 15 days, which can stretch to 45 days for a closer review.
What if my visa is refused?
Spain gives refusals in writing with reasons. You can appeal to the consular office within one month, or seek judicial review in Madrid within two months.
What do children need?
A passport or ID card, and as non-EU nationals, a double-entry or multiple-entry Schengen visa. Unaccompanied minors also need written parental authorisation.
Do I need an airport transit visa?
Pakistan is on the Schengen-wide airport transit visa list, so a change of plane at a Schengen airport requires one unless you hold another valid visa.
Can I enter from either France or Spain?
Yes. Access is through France or Spain, and the government advises asking the embassy of the country you will enter through about the visa.
Is there an official refusal rate for Andorra trips?
No. Andorra issues no visas, and Schengen statistics are published by issuing country.
Does the visa guarantee entry?
No. A Schengen visa does not automatically entitle you to enter; officers can refuse if the entry conditions are not met.
