Zimbabwe’s eVisa platform places Pakistan in the category of countries whose visitors are required to pay for and obtain a visa before travelling, so Pakistani passport holders cannot use the visa on arrival. The prepaid options are a single-entry visa valid for one month, a double-entry visa valid for three months, and a multiple-entry visa valid for six months, each counted from the date of issue. You apply on evisa.gov.zw, receive a submission confirmation and later notices by email, and the issued eVisa carries a QR code. The Department of Immigration may change the visa type during processing, and the final cost appears in the approval response.

Pakistani travellers heading to Zimbabwe must sort out their visa before they fly. Zimbabwe’s eVisa platform sorts nationalities into three groups: those who need no visa, those who pay for a visa on arrival, and those who must pay for and obtain a visa before travelling. Pakistan sits in the third group, so arriving at the border without a visa is not an option.

The platform, run by the Department of Immigration in Harare, lets foreign nationals apply online instead of going to a Zimbabwean mission or a port of entry. After you submit the form, an email confirms receipt and later notices follow by email. The issued eVisa holds a QR code with encrypted information, and you are responsible for keeping both soft and hard copies safe.

Three prepaid options are listed. A single-entry visa allows one entry within one month, a double-entry visa allows two entries within three months, and a multiple-entry visa allows any number of entries within six months, each counted from the date of issue. There is also the KAZA Univisa, valid for one month across countries in the Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area.

Processing averages seven working days, and the department advises applying at least three weeks before you travel. No fixed fee is shown, because immigration may change the visa type during processing and the actual cost is set out in the approval response. Payment covers processing only: it is not returned if the application is denied, and an unused eVisa is not refunded either.

Accuracy matters. An eVisa whose details do not match your passport is invalid, and an issued eVisa cannot be amended, so a change of plans means a new application. Entry can start on any date within the validity period. Zimbabwe publishes no approval or refusal rate, and officials keep the right to deny entry. For help, the department answers at customercare@zimimmigration.gov.zw.

Quick answers

FAQ

Do Pakistanis need a visa for Zimbabwe?

Yes. Zimbabwe’s eVisa platform lists Pakistan among the countries whose visitors are required to pay for and obtain a visa before travelling. Pakistani passport holders cannot get the visa on arrival.

How do Pakistanis apply for a Zimbabwe visa?

Apply online on the Zimbabwe eVisa platform at evisa.gov.zw. You receive an email confirming that the form was submitted, and further notices, including the outcome, are sent by email.

How long does a Zimbabwe eVisa take?

Processing takes seven working days on average, though the time can vary. The Department of Immigration advises applying at least 3 weeks before your travel date.

Which Zimbabwe visa types can I apply for in advance?

The platform describes a single-entry visa valid for one month, a double-entry visa valid for three months and a multiple-entry visa valid for six months, all counted from the date of issue. It also offers the KAZA Univisa, a one-month visa for several countries in the Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area.

How much does a Zimbabwe visa cost for Pakistanis?

Check the current fee on the eVisa platform. Immigration may change your visa type during processing, which can change the cost, and the actual amount is stated in the approval response.

Do I have to enter Zimbabwe on the date in my application?

No. The validity period starts from the date you give, and you can enter on any date within that period.

What if my travel dates change after I apply?

An eVisa cannot be amended. You need to obtain a new eVisa, and an unused one is not refunded.

What happens if my eVisa details do not match my passport?

The eVisa is invalid. Contact the Immigration Office for amendments, or create a new application.

Can I get a refund if my Zimbabwe eVisa is refused?

No. The payment is for processing and does not guarantee approval, so it is not returned if the application is denied.

Is there an official visa approval rate for Pakistanis?

No. Zimbabwe does not publish an approval or refusal rate for Pakistani applicants, so it is not officially published.
