Seychelles does not ask Pakistani passport holders for a visa, but you cannot simply turn up. Every non-citizen visitor must hold an approved Seychelles Travel Authorisation, applied for on the official Seychelles Electronic Border System or its e-Border app before departure. It costs €10 per adult for standard 24-hour processing. When you land, the Immigration and Civil Status Department issues a free visitor’s permit for holiday, business or family visits, as long as you have a return or onward ticket, confirmed accommodation and at least US$150 a day for your stay. The first permit covers up to three months.
Seychelles is a scattering of islands in the Indian Ocean, known for granite boulders, white-sand coves and clear water around Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. Pakistani passport holders do not need a visa to visit. That does not mean there is no paperwork, though. Before you board, you must get an approved Seychelles Travel Authorisation online, and when you land, immigration grants a visitor’s permit at the airport.
The Travel Authorisation is handled on the Seychelles Electronic Border System, the government’s official website, or through its Seychelles e-Border app. It replaced the blue paper form travellers used to fill in before arrival and is compulsory for every non-citizen, children included. You enter your passport details, upload a selfie, add your contact information and attach your airline booking. If you are staying overnight, you also add a hotel booking or, if you are staying with friends or family, an invitation letter from your host.
Fees depend on how fast you need an answer. An adult pays €10 for standard review within 24 hours, €30 for premium review within 6 hours or €70 for expedited review within 60 minutes, plus bank charges. Children aged 12 and under pay €10 or €30. Payment is by credit or debit card only, and the money is not refunded even if the application is refused. Mistakes cannot be edited after you submit, and a corrected application means a new fee, so check every detail carefully. You can apply up to 30 days before departure.
At the airport, the immigration officer issues a visitor’s permit for holidays, business trips and family visits. To qualify you need a passport valid for the whole stay, a return or onward ticket, confirmed accommodation and at least US$150 or the equivalent for each day you plan to stay. The first permit is free and can cover up to three months. If you want longer, you can extend it in three-month steps, up to twelve months in total, at SCR 5,000 for each extension, either online or at Independence House in Victoria.
Seychelles does not publish an official approval or refusal rate for Pakistani travellers. If your authorisation is refused, you cannot travel, and the portal advises contacting Seychelles Immigration directly. Arriving without one is a costly mistake: you will not get through immigration until the matter is sorted, and on-arrival applications carry a €30 penalty. Travel insurance is not compulsory but is strongly recommended. Once you are there, tell immigration if your address in Seychelles changes.

Quick answers
FAQ
Do Pakistanis need a visa for Seychelles?
No visa is needed. Seychelles issues a visitor’s permit on arrival to Pakistani passport holders who meet the entry conditions. You must, however, get an approved Seychelles Travel Authorisation online before you fly, and that step is compulsory for every non-citizen visitor.
How much is the Seychelles Travel Authorisation?
The official portal lists €10 per adult for standard processing within 24 hours, €30 for premium within 6 hours and €70 for expedited within 60 minutes. Children aged 12 and under pay €10, €30 or €30. Bank charges are added, and the fee is not refunded if your plans change or the authorisation is refused.
When should I apply, and can I apply before booking?
You can apply up to 30 days before departure. Flight and accommodation details are mandatory parts of the form, so book those first. Standard review can take up to 24 hours, so do not leave it until the day you fly.
What do I need to show the immigration officer on arrival?
A passport valid for your whole stay, a return or onward ticket, confirmed accommodation and enough money for your trip, which immigration sets at a minimum of US$150 or the equivalent per day. You must also not be a prohibited immigrant. The officer then issues your visitor’s permit.
How long can I stay on a visitor’s permit?
The first permit is granted for up to three months and is free. It can be extended in steps of up to three months, to a maximum of twelve months in total, provided you still meet the entry conditions.
How do I extend my stay in Seychelles?
Apply online at permits.ics.gov.sc and pay by card, or go to the Immigration and Civil Status office at Independence House in Victoria, Mahé. Each extension costs SCR 5,000 for every three-month period or part of one.
What happens if I arrive without a Travel Authorisation?
The official portal says you cannot proceed through immigration without an approved authorisation. Applying on arrival carries an extra €30 penalty fee on top of the normal charge, and you may face delays, so apply before you leave home.
I am staying with friends. What accommodation proof do I need?
Upload a letter of invitation from your host. It should show their name, address, contact number and NIN, plus the details of your stay. Hotel guests upload a booking that names the property and shows check-in and check-out dates.
Does my child need a separate Travel Authorisation?
Yes. Travellers of all ages, including babies, need their own authorisation. The portal accepts up to six people in one session, and the Seychelles e-Border app can save each family member’s profile on one phone.
Can one Travel Authorisation be used for several trips?
No. Each authorisation covers one journey and expires once you leave Seychelles. Apply again, and pay again, for every new visit.
Do I need a Travel Authorisation if I only change planes in Seychelles?
Not if your transit lasts less than eight hours and you stay inside the airport’s international transit area. For a longer connection you need to apply before you arrive.
