Pakistan is not on any of the official lists of countries that need a pre-entry visa for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Tourism and the Consulate General all limit the requirement to a short list of nationalities, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China, Iran, Nepal and Nigeria. So Pakistanis do not apply in advance. On arrival, immigration officers decide the length of stay, which for most foreign visitors is up to one month, provided you show you are a genuine visitor with a passport valid six months, a return ticket, funds and accommodation.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines stretches from the volcanic main island of Saint Vincent south through Bequia, Mustique, Canouan and the Tobago Cays, a favourite of sailors and divers. Unusually for the Caribbean, it is one of the easier destinations for Pakistani passport holders.

The government publishes a short list of nationalities that must obtain a visa before arrival. The Ministry of Tourism’s version names Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cameroon, China, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Nepal, Nigeria and Syria. Pakistan does not appear, and neither the Ministry of Foreign Affairs nor the Consulate General list it.

That means a Pakistani visitor does not apply in advance. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explains that most foreign nationals are granted visa-free access for up to one month, and the immigration officer on arrival decides the exact length of stay.

You still need to satisfy the officer that you are a genuine visitor. Carry a passport valid at least six months from entry, a return ticket to your home country or onward to a country where you can land, evidence of accommodation and enough money for the trip.

Visitor entry does not cover work or residence. Work permits, residency and citizenship requests go to the Office of the Prime Minister. For nationalities that do need a visa, applications go to the Ministry of National Security with an EC$200 fee, which does not apply to Pakistanis.

Quick answers

FAQ

Do Pakistanis need a visa for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines?

No. Pakistan is not on the government’s list of nationalities that need a pre-entry visa, so Pakistani visitors do not apply in advance.

Which nationalities do need a visa?

The Ministry of Tourism lists Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cameroon, China, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Nepal, Nigeria and Syria. Pakistan is not included.

How long can I stay?

Most foreign visitors receive visa-free access for a maximum of one month. The immigration officer at the port of entry decides the actual length of stay.

What should I carry?

A passport valid at least six months from entry, a return or onward ticket, evidence of accommodation and enough money for your visit.

Is there any fee to enter?

No visa fee applies to Pakistanis. Nationals who need a visa pay EC$200 per application to the Ministry of National Security.

Can I be refused entry?

Yes. Visa-free entry depends on satisfying immigration officials that you are a genuine visitor, so carry documents that support your plans.

Do I need anything for Bequia, Mustique or the Grenadines islands?

The country’s entry rules apply at the first port of entry. Once admitted, you can travel within Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for your permitted stay.

What if I want to stay longer or work?

Residency and work permits are separate, and requests go to the Office of the Prime Minister. Visitor entry does not allow work.

Do Pakistanis living in the UK or Gulf follow the same rule?

Yes. The pre-entry list is based on nationality, and Pakistan is not on it, so a Pakistani passport holder enters without an advance visa wherever they live.

How long do CARICOM or British passport holders get?

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says CARICOM nationals and British passport holders are allowed six months, and OECS nationals can stay indefinitely. These longer periods do not apply to Pakistani passports.

Does the passport need six months of validity?

Yes. The Consulate General asks for a passport valid at least six months from the date of entry.

Can I check the rules myself?

Yes. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs consular section can be reached on +1 784 456 2060 or at office.foreignaffairs@mail.gov.vc.
