Pakistani citizens need a Schengen visa (type C) for short visits to Poland. The Embassy of Poland in Islamabad takes applications in person at its consular office, after you register through the e-Konsulat system. There are no walk-ins and no visa centre.
Poland takes visit visa applications from Pakistan at its own consular office, not through a visa centre. The consular section is at Street 24, G-5/4, Diplomatic Enclave II, Islamabad. You register and fill in the form through e-Konsulat, the Polish foreign ministry's official system, then print and sign it and hand in your file in person on your appointment date. There are no walk-ins, and the Embassy does not accept applications by fax, post or email.
The Embassy stresses that e-Konsulat is the only official registration system and asks applicants not to use other websites that claim to offer appointments at the Embassy of Poland in Islamabad. It also urges caution with companies that charge money to prepare visa documents. If someone offers you a guaranteed Poland appointment for a fee, it is not an official channel.
The Embassy's tourist checklist is detailed and written for Pakistan. You need the signed form and a 3.5 x 4.5 cm photo on a white background, taken in the last six months. Your passport must have been issued in the last ten years, have two blank pages and stay valid three months beyond the visa, and you should bring all previous passports. Add a copy of your CNIC and the original and a copy of your NADRA Family Registration Certificate, in English or with a certified translation from Urdu. Include an employer letter giving your position, salary and length of service, or a letter from your college or university. Bring six months of original bank statements signed and stamped by the branch manager, plus your last three salary slips. You also need confirmed accommodation for the whole trip, a return flight booking, and travel medical insurance of at least €30,000 from an insurer on the list agreed by the Schengen missions in Islamabad. If any embassy has ever refused you a visa, include the refusal letter.
For a family visit, the key document is the formal invitation called a zaproszenie. Your host requests it from the local authorities in Poland (the voivodeship office) and you submit the original. Children under 18 travelling with one parent need the other parent's notarised consent and a copy of that parent's CNIC. Apply to Poland only if it is your main destination, or your first entry point if your stays are equal.
The Embassy lists the visa application cost as PKR 29,597, which is not refunded whatever the decision. The consul decides within 15 calendar days, and exceptionally up to 45. EU rules allow applications up to 15 days before travel, but the Embassy advises applying no later than three weeks before your trip, and no earlier than six months. You collect your passport in person, or an authorised person can collect it with their CNIC, an authorisation letter and the receipt, on business days between 1pm and 3pm. If you are refused, you can ask for the decision to be reconsidered within 14 calendar days of collecting it. You submit the request in person at the Embassy and pay the same fee.
