The Embassy of Haiti in Washington states that tourists travelling to Haiti generally do not need a visa, and lists only nine nationalities that do: the Dominican Republic, Panama, Colombia, Cuba, Syria, Libya, Iran, Vietnam and Yemen. Pakistan is not on that list, so Pakistani tourists can enter without a visa, provided their passport is valid for at least six months and they pay the US$10 arrival fee at the airport.
Haiti shares the island of Hispaniola with the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean. It was the first Black republic to win independence, in 1804, and its sights include the Citadelle Laferrière and Sans-Souci Palace near Cap-Haïtien, the beaches of Labadee and Jacmel's colourful carnival and crafts.
Pakistani tourists do not need a visa. The Embassy of Haiti in Washington says tourists travelling to Haiti generally enter without a visa, and it names only nine nationalities that do need one. Pakistan is not among them.
The countries that need a visa are the Dominican Republic, Panama, Colombia, Cuba, Syria, Libya, Iran, Vietnam and Yemen. Their citizens apply at least a month before departure with a form, photos, a letter about the trip, tickets and an employer letter. None of that applies to Pakistani tourists.
Two conditions do apply. Your passport must be valid for at least six months, and you pay a US$10 tourist fee on arrival at the airport. The embassy page does not give a maximum length of stay, so keep your return ticket and accommodation details ready for the immigration officer.
The visa-free rule is described for tourism. Anyone planning to work, study or stay long term should ask a Haitian embassy or consulate about the correct visa. Also check current travel advice before booking, because security conditions and flight schedules can change quickly.

Quick answers
FAQ
Do Pakistanis need a visa for Haiti?
No, not as tourists. The Embassy of Haiti in Washington says tourists generally do not need a visa, and Pakistan is not among the nine nationalities that do.
Which nationalities need a visa for Haiti?
The embassy names the Dominican Republic, Panama, Colombia, Cuba, Syria, Libya, Iran, Vietnam and Yemen. Everyone else travelling as a tourist enters without one.
Is there any fee on arrival?
Yes. Tourists pay US$10 on arrival at the airport. It is a tourist fee rather than a visa charge.
How long must my passport be valid?
At least six months, according to the embassy.
How long can I stay as a tourist?
The embassy page does not give a maximum number of days. Ask the immigration officer on arrival and keep your return ticket handy.
Do I need an e-visa or prior approval?
No. The embassy describes no online authorisation for visa-exempt tourists. Visa applications, with forms and documents, are only for the nine listed nationalities.
I am going to Haiti for work or study. Is it the same?
The visa-free rule on the embassy page covers tourists. For employment, study or a long stay, contact a Haitian embassy or consulate before you travel to find out which visa applies.
Can I enter Haiti overland from the Dominican Republic?
The embassy mentions the US$10 fee at the airport and does not detail land crossings. Remember you would also need to meet the Dominican Republic's own entry rules first, which are separate from Haiti's.
Is it safe to travel to Haiti now?
Entry rules and security are different questions. Before booking, read Pakistan's and other governments' current travel advice, as conditions in Port-au-Prince have been unstable and flights can be disrupted.
My companion is Cuban. Do we follow the same rules?
No. Cuba is on Haiti's visa-required list, so a Cuban companion must apply for a visa at least a month before departure, while you as a Pakistani tourist do not.
How do I pay the US$10 fee?
The embassy says the fee is paid on arrival at the airport. Carry the exact amount in US dollars in cash, since card payment at the arrival desk is not guaranteed.
Do children pay the arrival fee too?
The embassy page states the US$10 fee for tourists without listing any age exemption. Assume each traveller, including children, may be asked to pay, and confirm with your airline before departure.
Is the official page in English?
Yes. The embassy publishes the tourist visa rules in English and French, and both versions list the same nine visa-required nationalities and the same airport fee.
Is there an official refusal rate?
No. Haiti does not publish entry refusal statistics for Pakistani visitors.
