Single entry or multiple entry

Grenada’s official visa list, updated April 2024 and published by its embassies, puts Pakistan under “Prior to Arrival”: a Pakistani citizen must have a Grenada visa approved before travelling. Visa rules depend on citizenship, not residence, so living in the UAE or UK does not change this. Apply through a Grenada embassy or high commission at least six weeks before departure. Processing is about ten business days, and the fee is US$100 for a single entry or US$250 for multiple entries.

Grenada, the “Spice Isle” of the southern Caribbean, is famous for nutmeg, Grand Anse beach and its underwater sculpture park. It is also home to St. George’s University, which attracts students from across South Asia. For a Pakistani passport, a visa must be approved before the trip.

The government’s list of visa requirements, last updated in April 2024 and carried on its embassy websites, shows Pakistan as “Prior to Arrival”. The rule follows citizenship, not residence, so Pakistanis living in the Gulf, Europe or North America are covered too.

Applications go through a Grenada embassy or high commission. Prepare the completed form in blue or black ink, a passport valid six months beyond departure with a copy of the data page, two recent photos with one certified by a notary or Justice of the Peace, your itinerary, any hotel booking and an invitation letter from your host.

The fee is US$100 for a single entry or US$250 for multiple entries. It can be paid by bank transfer, online through the government’s pay.gov.gd portal, or in cash in person. Applications should arrive at least six weeks before departure, and processing takes roughly ten business days.

University students and their families are not exempt: an acceptance letter from St. George’s University does not replace the visa. Cruise passengers staying under 24 hours do not need one, and visitors may not work without approval from the Ministry of Labour.

Checklist

Document requirements

  • Fully completed Grenada visa application form, filled in with blue or black ink
  • Pakistani passport valid at least six months beyond your departure from Grenada, plus a clear copy of the biodata page
  • Two identical passport photos taken within the last three months, one certified by a Justice of the Peace or Notary Public
  • Proof of visa fee payment (US$100 single entry, US$250 multiple entry)
  • Flight itinerary and hotel reservation, if already booked
  • Invitation letter from your host in Grenada
  • Proof of permission to return to your country of residence, if you live outside Pakistan

On Grenada’s list Pakistan is marked “Prior to Arrival”, while India, Bangladesh and Kenya appear as “No Visa required”. Students heading to St. George’s University still need the visa, because a university acceptance letter does not replace it.

Quick answers

FAQ

Do Pakistanis need a visa for Grenada?

Yes. Grenada’s official visa list marks Pakistan “Prior to Arrival”, so the visa must be granted before you travel.

Does my residence in another country change this?

No. Grenada bases the requirement on citizenship, not on where you live, so a Pakistani resident in the UK or Gulf still needs the visa.

How much does the Grenada visa cost?

US$100 for a single entry and US$250 for multiple entries, according to the Embassy of Grenada’s requirements page.

How early should I apply?

At least six weeks before departure. Processing takes about ten business days once the complete application is received.

What photos are needed?

Two identical photos taken within the last three months, one of them certified by a Justice of the Peace or Notary Public.

How do I pay?

By bank transfer to the mission’s account, online through pay.gov.gd, which is preferred, or in cash if you apply in person.

I have a place at St. George’s University. Do I still need a visa?

Yes. The university’s acceptance or sponsorship letter does not exempt you; you and any family travelling with you apply in the normal way.

Can cruise passengers skip the visa?

Cruise passengers of any nationality staying less than 24 hours do not need a visa, provided their passport is valid six months beyond their return.

Can I work on a visitor visa?

No. Visa holders are not authorised to work in Grenada without permission from the Ministry of Labour.

Where do I send the application?

To a Grenada embassy or high commission. The Embassy of Grenada’s guidance asks for the complete package to be submitted and scanned copies of every document to be emailed as well.

Is an incomplete form accepted?

No. Only fully completed application forms are accepted, and the form must be filled in with blue or black ink.

What passport validity is required?

At least six months beyond the date you leave Grenada. Include a clear copy of the passport biodata page.

Do Pakistanis living in China follow different rules?

Not on fee or document basics, but permanent residents of China who are not Chinese citizens must also show proof that they may re-enter China.

Is there an official approval rate?

No. Grenada does not publish an approval or refusal rate for Pakistani applicants.
