Pakistan is listed in the Schedule of the Bermuda Immigration and Protection (Prohibition of Entry) Order 2026 (BR 99/2026, in force from 17 September 2026). Nationals on that list may not enter Bermuda unless they hold travel authorisation to enter and re-enter Canada, the United Kingdom or the United States that stays valid for 45 days from their intended departure from Bermuda, or a government letter confirming they are the spouse of a Bermudian or belong to Bermuda. The Government of Bermuda describes this as presenting a multiple re-entry visa (MRV) for the UK, US or Canada. Without one, Pakistani visitors are refused entry.
Bermuda, a British Overseas Territory alone in the North Atlantic, rewards visitors with pink-sand beaches such as Horseshoe Bay, the pastel lanes of St George's, the Crystal Caves and the historic Royal Naval Dockyard. Pakistani travellers face a firm rule: no Bermudian visa exists for them.
Pakistan is on the schedule of the Bermuda Immigration and Protection (Prohibition of Entry) Order 2026, which took effect on 17 September 2026. Listed nationals may not enter unless they hold valid authorisation to enter and re-enter Canada, the United Kingdom or the United States.
In practice the Government of Bermuda asks for a multiple re-entry visa (MRV) for the UK, US or Canada. That visa, and your passport, must stay valid for at least 45 days after you plan to leave Bermuda. Arriving without it, or with less validity, leads to refusal of entry.
The only other exception is a current government letter confirming that you are the spouse of a Bermudian or belong to Bermuda under the Constitution. The Government of Bermuda describes no separate Bermudian visa application or fee for tourists; your costs are those of the British, American or Canadian visa.
Workers are covered too: holders of work permits with a visa condition, and short-term or periodic permit holders, need an MRV. The list is revised regularly, so check the current Order and contact the Department of Immigration at 30 Parliament Street if in doubt.
Checklist
Document requirements
- Pakistani passport valid for at least 45 days after your planned departure from Bermuda
- Multiple re-entry visa (or other re-entry travel authorisation) for the UK, US or Canada, valid at least 45 days after your planned departure
- Or, for spouses of Bermudians and persons who belong to Bermuda: a current Government of Bermuda letter confirming that status
Pakistani nationals are on Bermuda's prohibited-entry schedule, so a valid multiple re-entry UK, US or Canadian visa is the only general route for visitors.

Quick answers
FAQ
Do Pakistanis need a visa for Bermuda?
Bermuda does not issue a visitor visa to Pakistanis. Instead, you may enter only if you hold a multiple re-entry visa for the UK, US or Canada that remains valid for 45 days after you leave Bermuda.
What law sets this rule?
The Bermuda Immigration and Protection (Prohibition of Entry) Order 2026, BR 99/2026, made on 17 September 2026. Pakistan is number 53 in its schedule.
What does "prohibited national" mean for a tourist?
It means entry is barred unless an exception applies. For most visitors, the exception is holding valid re-entry authorisation for Canada, the UK or the US.
Will a single-entry US visa work?
The government page refers to a multiple re-entry visa (MRV). A single-entry visa does not give re-entry rights, so do not rely on it.
How long must the UK, US or Canadian visa be valid?
For at least 45 days after your planned departure from Bermuda. Your passport must also be valid for 45 days after your stay ends.
What happens if my MRV expires too soon?
Travellers without an MRV or passport, or whose MRV or passport validity is less than 45 days, are refused entry into Bermuda.
Can I apply to Bermuda for a waiver?
The Order allows only two exceptions: the re-entry visa, or a current government letter confirming you are the spouse of a Bermudian or belong to Bermuda.
Can I use a US passport card?
No. The government notes that US passport cards are not permitted for air travel to Bermuda; Pakistani travellers should carry their passport.
Do work permit holders need the MRV too?
Yes, if their permit carries a visa condition. Standard work permit holders without a visa condition, and holders of Permanent Resident or Resident Certificates, do not.
Does the rule apply to short-term workers?
Yes. Short-term, emergency and periodic work permit holders from listed countries must also present an MRV and passport valid 45 days beyond the permit's end.
Can an employer help?
An employer applying for a standard work permit can get it processed first, which helps with the MRV application. The Department of Immigration may ask the employer for a repatriation deposit and charge a $245 fee if estimates are needed.
Has Pakistan always been on the list?
Pakistan appears in the 2025 Order and the 2026 Order. The list is reviewed often, so check the current Order before booking.
Who can I ask about my case?
The Department of Immigration, 30 Parliament Street, telephone 246-8093.
Is there an official refusal rate for Pakistanis?
No. Bermuda does not publish such statistics.
