The visa requirements list of Barbados’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade (revised 9 May 2025) states that nationals of Pakistan entering Barbados do not need a visa, under a visa waiver agreement established on 28 July 2022 for all categories of passports. The Barbados Government Information Service reported that Cabinet approved the waiver on 28 July 2022 for a maximum period of 90 days, and the immigration officer sets the exact stay on arrival. Visitors must complete the online Immigration and Customs Form, which opens 72 hours before arrival.
Barbados is the easternmost island of the Caribbean, known for the calm west-coast beaches, the surf at Bathsheba, Harrison’s Cave and the historic streets of Bridgetown. For Pakistani travellers it is one of the easiest Caribbean entries.
Barbados’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade lists Pakistan as a country whose nationals need no visa to enter. A visa waiver agreement was established on 28 July 2022, and it covers every passport category, ordinary passports included.
When Cabinet approved the waiver in July 2022, the Barbados Government Information Service announced it for a maximum of 90 days. Within that limit, the immigration officer who receives you sets the length of your stay and its conditions when you land.
Before flying, complete the online Immigration and Customs Form, which opens 72 hours before arrival. At the airport you show your passport, valid for the whole stay, a return ticket to your country of residence, your local address and evidence that you can support yourself.
A visitor entry does not allow work or study, which need their own visa. Minors travelling without a parent need a notarised consent letter, and anyone wanting to stay longer should speak to the Barbados Immigration Department.

Quick answers
FAQ
Do Pakistanis need a visa for Barbados?
No. The Barbados foreign ministry’s visa list says Pakistani nationals entering Barbados need no visa, under a waiver agreement dated 28 July 2022.
Does the waiver cover ordinary passports?
Yes. The agreement covers all categories of passports, so ordinary green passports are included, not just diplomatic or official ones.
How long can I stay?
Up to 90 days. The Barbados Government Information Service says Cabinet approved the visa waiver for Pakistan and 42 other countries for a maximum period of 90 days. The immigration officer at the port of entry stamps the exact period.
Is there a visa fee?
No visa fee applies, because no visa is required for Pakistani nationals.
What must I show on arrival?
A passport valid for your whole stay, a return ticket to your country of residence, the address where you will stay and evidence that you can support yourself.
Is there a form to complete before travel?
Yes. Every traveller completes the online Immigration and Customs Form, which opens 72 hours before arrival. Keep the receipts on your phone or print them for the officers.
How long must my passport be valid?
The Barbados Immigration Department asks for a passport that is valid for the duration of your trip.
Do I need a hotel booking?
You need an intended address in Barbados. A hotel booking or the address of the people you are visiting serves that purpose.
Can I work on a visitor entry?
No. The foreign ministry says people who are not Barbadian citizens and want to work or study in Barbados need the relevant visa.
What if I want to study?
Study is outside a visitor entry. You need the appropriate visa from the Barbados authorities before you travel.
What about children travelling alone?
An unaccompanied minor under 18 needs a consent letter from a parent or legal guardian, signed by a notary public with the seal affixed, naming the adult who will receive the child.
What if a child travels with another adult?
A notarised consent letter from a parent is needed. It must state the stay, identify the accompanying adult and give their address and phone number.
Should I carry the original consent letter?
Yes. Carry the original and a copy of any consent letter for a minor.
Can I be refused entry without a visa?
Yes. The waiver removes the visa step, but officers can still refuse a visitor who lacks a return ticket, an address or evidence of support.
Where can I check the latest list?
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade publishes its visa requirements list as a PDF on its visa information page.
Is there an official refusal rate for Pakistanis?
No. Barbados does not publish entry refusal figures by nationality.
Do I need a transit visa?
Pakistani nationals do not need a visa to enter Barbados. Check the rules of any country you pass through on the way.
Who do I contact about extending my stay?
The Barbados Immigration Department, which handles visitors once they are in the country.
Is Barbados part of a regional free-movement zone that helps me?
Barbados is a CARICOM member, but the free-movement exceptions apply to CARICOM nationals. Pakistanis rely on the bilateral waiver instead.
