Pakistan is on the Saint Kitts and Nevis Ministry of Foreign Affairs list of countries and territories whose nationals require a visa for entry. Travellers who need a visa apply online through the official eVisa portal; the approved visa is sent by email, so you do not post your passport. The Ministry also asks all visitors to complete the online immigration entry form before travel.

Saint Kitts and Nevis is a two-island federation in the eastern Caribbean, the smallest sovereign state in the Americas. Visitors come for Brimstone Hill Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the scenic railway around Saint Kitts, the beaches of Frigate Bay and the quiet volcanic slopes of Nevis Peak.

Pakistani passport holders need a visa. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs publishes a list of 67 countries and territories whose nationals require a visa for entry, and Pakistan is on it, even though both countries belong to the Commonwealth.

The visitor visa is an eVisa. You apply on the official portal, upload a recent digital photo and supporting documents as small PDF files, and pay by card. The Embassy in Washington says the fee is US$100 and that processing takes about two weeks.

There is no need to post your passport. When the Visa Office decides, you get an email, and an approved visa comes as an attachment. Choose single entry for a stay of up to 30 days or multiple entry for longer, and keep a bank statement and employer's letter ready.

Your passport should be valid for six months, and immigration officers set your permitted stay on arrival, initially up to one month. Visitors may not work, and every traveller is asked to complete the online immigration entry form before the trip.

Yes. Pakistan is on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs list of countries and territories whose nationals require a visa for entry, so Pakistani passport holders apply for a visitor visa online before they travel.

Pakistan is in the Commonwealth. Does that make a difference?

No. Saint Kitts and Nevis lists Pakistan by name among visa-required nationalities, so Commonwealth membership does not exempt Pakistani passport holders.

Where do I apply?

On the official eVisa portal at evisa.stkittsnevisonline.com. Check your photo with the portal's photo tool first, then choose Apply For Visa and answer the eligibility questions.

How much does the visitor visa cost?

The FAQ says to choose single entry if your stay will be 30 days or less, and multiple entry if it will be 31 days or more.

About two weeks, according to the Embassy in Washington and the High Commission in London. Apply early, as the Visa Office may ask for extra documents.

How long can I stay?

Immigration officers decide on arrival. The Embassy in Washington says the maximum stay is initially one month.

Can I extend my stay while I am there?
