Pakistan is not among the visa-waiver countries whose citizens receive a 30-day visitor permit on arrival in Niue, so Pakistani passport holders must obtain a visitor visa before travelling. The application is the Government of Niue visitor's visa form, issued by Niue Immigration under the Niue Immigration Act 2011, emailed to Immigration.Niue@gov.nu with proof of the $27 payment, passport copies, itinerary and confirmed accommodation. Processing takes 7 to 14 days once the file is complete. Niue Immigration sends the decision and the visa by email or Messenger, as shown on the official form.

Niue, one of the world's largest raised coral atolls, rises from the South Pacific north-east of Tonga. Visitors come for the sea caves and chasms of Togo and Matapa, swimming with spinner dolphins, humpback whales between July and October, and some of the clearest water anywhere. Pakistanis need a visa first.

Niue lets citizens of a set list of countries, mostly European and Pacific states plus the US, Canada and Japan, arrive without a visa and receive a 30-day permit. Pakistan is not on that list, so Pakistani travellers apply to Niue Immigration for a visitor visa before travelling.

The process is simple and handled by email. Complete the Government of Niue visitor's visa form, then send it to Immigration.Niue@gov.nu with copies of passport bio-pages, your itinerary, proof of booked accommodation and confirmation that you paid the $27 fee into the Niue Government account.

Processing takes 7 to 14 days when everything arrives together. On arrival you show a passport valid for at least three months, a return or onward ticket and enough funds; accommodation must be booked for every night, as camping and couch-surfing are not allowed.

Flights come only from Auckland, once a week from 19 October 2026, so plan New Zealand transit early. Insurance with medical evacuation is strongly advised, and the departure tax is already built into Air New Zealand fares.

Quick answers

FAQ

Do Pakistanis need a visa for Niue?

Yes. Pakistan is not on the visa-waiver list, so you must get a visitor visa from Niue Immigration before you fly.
